Dr. Mohamed H. Elnahal

Mohamed Elnahal, M.D., FACC, FACP, M.B.A., is one of the original founders of AtlantiCare Physician Group Cardiology and served as its medical director for five years. He joined the AtlantiCare medical staff in 1991 and is a two-time past chair of the Division of Cardiology. Dr. Elnahal has been in practice for more than 27 years and has a special interest in cardiac arrhythmias and device management. He is highly skilled in the implantation of pacemaker devices and loop memory event recorders and manages a device follow-up and arrhythmia monitoring clinic that offers both remote and in-person monitoring and care. Dr. Elnahal graduated from Cairo University Medical School and was appointed chief medical resident during his post-doctoral training at tlantic City Medical Center. His post-doctoral training also includes a cardiology fellowship at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, New Jersey, and a surgical pacemaker fellowship with Dr. Victor Parsonette at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey. Most recently, he earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Stockton State University. Philosophy of Care “I believe in respecting the time I spend with my patients. It is my routine to interview and examine the patient without bringing devices or computers into the room so the patient receives my full attention. After the exam, we go through all the findings and what needs to be done. I offer a full explanation of my findings and then answer all the patient’s questions about their condition. The vast majority of my patients are given my private cell phone number to contact me with an issue or to ask a question.” Professional Memberships He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Elnahal is dual board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, and also serves as a testamur of the American Heart Rhythm Society.
