Biology was always my favorite subject. I was fascinated by the human body and the complex and extraordinary way that God created us. I also felt the need to help people and relieve suffering. Medicine felt like the right path for me. The reason I chose Oncology is that even though people believe it to be a depressing field, I believe it is a rewarding field. I get to help people and make a real difference in their lives. It is one of the few specialties that allows you to get to know your patients and their families well because you are seeing them on a routine basis. I am a people perWhat I want my patients to know about me:I want my patients to know that I don't like to give up and I keep challenging myself to do better. I am constantly reading and learning which is why I am board certified in four fields of medicine (internal medicine, hematology, oncology, hospice and palliative care). I strive to do the best possible for my patients, who I see as individuals and friends rather than customers. I am married with 3 wonderful children. Something interesting about me is that I speak Aramaic. It is one of the oldest spoken languages and the language of Jesus Christ. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I love spending time with my family. I enjoy playing with my kids, attending their sporting events, and swimming. I like nature, which is why I decided to move from NJ/NY to the Lebanon area so that I can enjoy the open space, fresh air and hiking. My family and I love to travel in our free time. I also enjoy reading and watching football.
